Overview
Rwanda gorillas 2 days trip from Rwanda to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park gives you an awesome opportunity to meet and interact with man’s closest relative the Rwanda gorillas. It will start from Kigali and end in Kigali Rwanda. This amazing gorilla trek Safari is specially tailored for people who have less time and want to drive a shorter distance to trek gorillas in Bwindi National park.
You will also visit Rwanda’s most visited destination Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre.
Day 1: Visit Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park later.
After your delicious breakfast at your favorite hotel, our professional driver guide will pick you up at 7:30am. Together you will drive to Kigali Genocide Memorial for a 2 and a half hour tour. Here you will remember, grieve and learn more about the place where more than 250,000 victims of the genocide were laid to rest.
Get a chance to reconcile the current Rwanda that is organized and advancing with the Rwanda of 1994 during the genocide. While on this trip, try to give support to the genocide survivors by giving a donation. It really counts a lot. Yes, the tour here may leave you struggling for words in tears, it may get you inflamed, destroy your faith in humanity but I assure you it matters a lot. The survivors and victims of this genocide really need our time and support.
This two and a half hour tour will end at about 12 o’clock, you will rest here, relax and take some refreshments. At exactly 1pm, and you will embark on your scenic journey to Bwindi National Park. It will be a 4 to 5 hour drive through thousands of hills. Our driver will take you through Kisoro. Have a chance to view Muhabura ranges and many other feature as you continue o Kabale-Kisoro road up to the famous Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Check in the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and transfer back to Kigali
After your heavy breakfast that will energize you for the day, you will set off for your strenuous yet exciting and fun filled day. You will start off your day with packed lunch since this activity will take quite a long time. You will then head to the park headquarters for briefing that will prepare you for your long waited and very thrilling adventure. At the briefing please remember to share your interests and abilities with the guide so you may be allocated a Rwanda gorilla family that will meet your interest and be less hectic to trek. The Gorilla trek safari will take between 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the gorilla family allocated to you. And you will be given an hour to stay and watch those lovable mountain gorillas. Please don’t forget to take memorable photos with those awesome cousins of yours.
As you trek these Rwanda mountain gorillas, you will be more likely to have an opportunity to sight other wild life like rare monkeys, elephants, black fronted dickers, leopards, buffaloes and many more. Enjoy also the beautiful birds in the forest and Bwindi National Park’s amazing scenery.
Upon completion of all that, you will head back to the headquarter to pick your gorilla trekking certificates and then set off back to Kigali. Our driver will drive you to your lodge in Kigali for overnight or airport for your international departure flight.
