Overview
Lake Mburo is a compact gem located conveniently close the Mbarara Masaka highway. It covers only 370km² yet it has 5 lakes within. This 2 days Uganda lake safaris takes you to this stunning and Uganda’s most breathtaking National Park. It is a mini lake Mburo safari that will uncover for you astonishing activities like a game drive, horse riding and boat cruises.
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo, have a boat ride in the afternoon and a game drive in the late afternoon.
After your delicious breakfast at your favorite lodge, Rumara safaris driver/guide will pick you up at 6:30am and together with him you will set off for your 4 hour drive for the Uganda lake safaris which include Lake Mburo. You will go through the big towns of Masaka and Lyatonde before you finally reach your breathtaking destination Lake Mburo.
Upon arrival at the park, you will check in your lodge, freshen up and relax as you prepare for yet an exciting boat ride that will get you in touch with flora and fauna. Here you will surely have great time with an opportunity to see lots of animals along the bank. They include Hippos, Zebras, Antelopes, Crocodiles, Buffaloes, and many more. This activity will take approximately 2 hours, and then you will return to your lodge, have lunch, relax and rest as you prepare for a fun filled mega game drive in the late afternoon.
Get your camera ready and make it a point to capture every moment here as you together with our driver will drive through the Park and you will have more encounters with game like Zebras, hippos, crocodile, elands, antelopes, impalas and variety of bird species. You will then return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Early morning game walking safari then transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe with a stopover at the Equator
Early in the morning after your delicious breakfast at 7am, you will set off for an early morning game walking safari. You will surely better enjoy exploring this amazing place’s extensive savannah environment by foot. Here you will explore the moist savannah dotted with magical acacia species spotting a range of wildlife and birds. You will most assuredly enjoy viewing a range of game including Impala, Rothschild giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs, bushbucks, cape buffaloes, elands and not forgetting the acacia associated birds. The hike to Kazuma Hills will reward you with beautiful views of the areas and the myriad of lakes below including Lake Mburo and Lake Kacheera the only permanent water sources in the area. This activity will take four hours and here after you will retreat to your lodge you pack up and check out of the lodge as you set off back to Kampala/Entebbe.
On the way to Entebbe, you will have a stopover at the equator. Have chance to take memorable photos at this fantastic spot and surely this will be a very thrilling and memorable experience for you. You will have a moment to enjoy the unique experience of hopping back and forth across the hemispheres at the equator. You have some fast lunch here and proceed to Entebbe.
