One of the most exciting wildlife experiences while heading to the ranger headquarters for the gorilla activity briefing.
In the Uganda gorilla trekking safari we track the gorillas and the tracking tends to take about 6 hours depending on how fast the habituated gorilla family is found. With the help of experienced guides, you will search and find a fully habituated gorilla family and spend time encountering them. After finding a gorilla family, you have up to one hour to stay with as you watch these adorable species play and associate with each other. It’s amazing to listen and observe the gorillas in the forest while they marvel and grumble at each other. This is your opportunity to take charming pictures with these cousins. Remember not to scare them.
Other mammals that you have maximum possibility to sight see here include; the rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephants, black-fronted dike’s, bush bucks, leopards, giant forest hogs.
Return to your lodge for a relaxed afternoon or an optional forest walk.

While on the game drive, you will watch wildlife on their way back from the night hunt and these will include lumbering elephants, lions, and running warthogs with tails raised up. Remember, Queen Elizabeth offers stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains.
Then it is time to return to your accommodation for relaxation and lunch. Do not forget to change your camera batteries since you will be going for a boat trip which is the park’s highlight for every visitor. The Kazinga Channel is shared by Lake Edward and Lake Gorge, running 40 kilometers between the two lakes.
